How Collective Began

The Collective team has been building better private market liquidity solutions for many years. But, despite being the founders, operators and technologists behind today’s leading private market platforms, we felt we still hadn’t solved many of the market’s problems. Private market trading remains slow, uncertain and expensive; transactions remain painful for most participants (if they can transact at all). We thought there had to be a better way to connect capital with shares. And we believe it’s a problem worth solving. A better private capital market means a more efficient venture economy to nurture the innovators and companies making our lives better each day.

What Comes Next

In the coming weeks, Collective will be launching a new kind of asset management platform to bring scalable, efficient liquidity to the private market. On their first visit to our site, unicorn shareholders will be able to monetize their shares and/or options easily and on better terms than available from the existing alternatives. Investors will finally have efficient, transparent, liquid access to the private growth asset class. Companies will be able to provide reliable liquidity to their employees and other shareholders without losing control over the market for their shares.

While the details of our solution can’t be made public until our launch, we can say that our solution integrates debt and equity platforms in a unique way that enables shareholders to keep more of the value they helped create. If you’d like to be kept up to date on our launch, leave your email below – we will be happy to keep you in the loop.
